Happy November!

As we enter this month of Thanksgiving, it’s a great time to reflect on what we’re thankful for and a time to express our gratitude and kindness to those we love, and even those who we hardly know.  I ran into this “gratitude” list and thought it had some great ideas for doing just that!  I’m going to be reviewing it and using some of the ideas this month.  Hope it inspires you too!

THANK YOU!

thankful heart - 7-27-15

My heart has been full of thankfulness today!!  Yesterday was our annual open house in the studio and I was overwhelmed with all those who came, have taken an interest in the studio and support us by signing up for classes, shopping and just plain ol’ loving our space.  When I set off on this journey of building a place where women can come, relax, take a break and feel safe while creating together – I never dreamed we’d be HERE!  I’m soooo very thankful!!  Thank YOU to each of you who came to the open house and helped to make it a special day for all!!!!

Today was easy, some days we wake up and it’s not so easy to feel thankful.  There are days when the feelings plain ol’ aren’t there, period!  A thankful heart is so important.  It’s hard to have a bad day if you’re focused on your blessings and are thankful for them, no matter how big or small.  Work on developing the habit of thankfulness.  Start your day with it.  When you wake up, turn your focus on what you have to be thankful for.  Have troubles remembering/developing the habit – try putting a reminder on your bathroom mirror or somewhere you’ll see it first thing.  If you’re in a place in life where you’re having troubles finding anything to be thankful for, think of the little things and write them down.  Make a list you can refer to when you’re struggling.  A kind act from someone, a special person, a compliment from a friend, a good parking place ….. could be anything!  Dwell on the positive things in your life and watch everything feel brighter!  Develop the habit of thankfulness – the more you focus on thankfulness, the more you’ll see things to be thankful for.

full of thanks and giving

As we start into this week of Thanksgiving lets focus on what we have to be thankful for.  And better yet – express what you’re thankful for.  Try to live this week focusing on what you’re thankful for and see how it makes you feel.  A grateful heart is a happy heart!

Giving ~ what do you have that you could share with someone else this week?  time, money, talent, a kind word, smile ……. think about it and give!
