Monday’s Motivation

be present

Have you ever been caught up in a situation that made you feel out of control?  Like you’re spinning and can’t stop?  I’ve been there!

You could be in the middle of a crisis or bumbling through a long drawn out frustration.  The control to STOP, BREATHE and THINK can make all the difference.  It will help you gain clarity and focus.  It may not eradicate the situation but it will help you deal better and possibly begin those baby steps needed for change.

How was your Easter?

easter pic 3

Spring is a time of re-birth and new beginnings.

As many of you know I’ve moved recently and it’s been fun to walk around the yard and see what’s new!  There’s something new every time I “take the walk”.  New buds opening on a shrub, a perennial poking it’s head out of the ground and yesterday, a bird nest!  I LOVE flowers so seeing all that’s new (to me) around here has been lots of fun.

Easter is the celebration of new life in Christ.  The fact that God loves us enough to sacrifice his Son on a cross always amazes me!  I know I’m not worthy but he loves me THAT MUCH!  I am so grateful for the unconditional love He shows me.  He’s the only one that will never let me down, never leave me and will always be by my side, guiding and loving me (no matter what).

What do you love about Spring?

Take time to enjoy some of the beauty out there this week!

Monday’s Motivation

Words can be an amazing gift, or cut us to the quick.

inner voice

Not only children but those we spend a lot of time with.  A spouse, co-worker, friend…..

We can feed their souls or cut them down.  Hearing something over and over again can often become a reality in our minds eye, truth or not.

I had the privilege of watching my grandsons these past few days and the thought of how impressionable they are struck me.  I need to make a conscious effort, every time I see them to speak positive words to them about their character, abilities and where their life is going.  Not because I don’t think their parents are doing that but because the more they hear it the more likely it will become their inner voice.

Is there someone you could help build a positive inner voice?  Or change their inner voice?

I hope you’ll strive with me to speak intentionally to those who need that positive input this week.

happiest person

Simple, everyday moments.  Take time to notice the everyday moments.  We can get so busy that we fly by the things that make us smile.  Slow down and see the beauty that you otherwise wouldn’t have noticed.

Treasuring everyday moments this week with you!
